Ferrous Metal Scrap

Shin Ocean Inc. offers a wide range of ferrous scrap products including HMS 1 & 2, shredded steel, and cast iron scrap. These iron-based materials are vital to the steel, construction, and automotive industries. Each load is carefully sourced, cleaned, and graded to meet international recycling and remelting standards. We ensure consistent quality and volume, helping global manufacturers reduce raw material costs while supporting sustainable industrial practices.

HMS 1 Scrap

HMS 1 consists of clean, heavy steel scrap including plates, beams, and structural sections with a thickness above 6 mm. It is widely used in electric arc furnaces and steel mills for producing high-quality steel products. Shin Ocean Inc. supplies well-sorted HMS 1 scrap meeting international standards for recycling and remelting.

HMS 2 Scrap

HMS 2 includes lighter steel scrap such as galvanized steel, sheets, and structural parts with thickness between 3 mm and 6 mm. It often contains painted or coated materials. Our HMS 2 scrap is carefully graded and processed to meet export and furnace-ready specifications for use in secondary steel production.

Cast Iron Scrap

Cast iron scrap includes heavy, brittle iron components such as engine blocks, pipes, and machinery parts. Known for its high carbon content, it is widely used in foundries for remelting into new cast iron products. We ensure all cast iron scrap is free from harmful contaminants and processed to meet industry standards.

Shredded Steel Scrap (ISRI 211)

Shredded steel scrap is clean, uniform, and compacted steel fragments typically sized under 60 cm. It’s highly valued by steelmakers for its consistent chemical composition and ease of melting in electric arc furnaces. Shin Ocean Inc. supplies furnace-ready shredded scrap ideal for various steel manufacturing applications.
