Tire Scrap
Tire Scrap
Shin Ocean Inc. provides high-volume Tire Scrap, including whole tires, shredded tire chips, and crumb rubber. We work with certified recycling facilities that extract value from end-of-life tires (ELTs) through environmentally responsible methods. Our tire scrap is sorted by type (passenger, truck, OTR) and quality, enabling downstream industries to reuse rubber and steel efficiently. Shredded tire scrap is available in various sizes, including coarse shreds of 100 mm and 50 mm, medium-sized pieces of 25 mm, and fine crumb rubber ranging from 2 mm to 5 mm—catering to diverse applications in manufacturing, construction, and energy recovery.
Where It’s Used & Why It Matters:
- Cement & Power Plants: Used as Tire-Derived Fuel (TDF) — a high-BTU, low-moisture fuel alternative in kilns and boilers.
- Rubber Reclamation: Ground into crumb rubber for making playground surfaces, rubber tiles, and artificial turf infill.
- Asphalt Industry: Mixed into rubberized asphalt for highway resurfacing, reducing road noise and improving durability.
- Steel Recovery: Internal bead wires and steel belts are extracted for reprocessing in steel mills.
- Sustainable Disposal: Prevents landfill overflow and illegal tire dumping while creating renewable energy and construction materials.
